Mosaics inspired by Alfred Wallis

Hello blogger friends,

As the development of my mosaics carries on apace, I thought I would share with you my latest mosaics bound for the Jane Reeves Gallery in Padstow Cornwall, UK -

My sister introduced me to the work of Alfred Wallis, and I love it! His naive style and movement lends itself perfectly to my mosaic process.  I have made a set of three large mosaics for the gallery, and had them especially framed.  And here they are!

I would love to know what you think of them, and which is your favourite, and why.

Many thanks,
Felicity x

  1. I love your work lends it such dignity...beautiful!

I really love the picture with the red sails, something about that red is so eye catching and appealing to me.

    Awesome work, as usual!

    1. Thanks Jane - as always, they look better in real life! Fx

  2. I love the final one with the little lighthouse - it's great. The frames really add something to the mosaics - they look more important framed!

  3. Thanks Liz - yes, that's it, more important! Fx
