We went to Buckfast Abbey in Devon, UK last week - a beautiful place - magical, somehow ...
At the far end of the abbey is the Blessed Sacrament window, which covers the whole of the eastern wall.
It was designed by Dom Charles Norris OSB, a Benedictine monk in the Buckfast Abbey community, and took nine months to complete.

The window at the eastern end of the chapel to gain maximum light. |
He used a new style called 'dalles de verre' (tiles of glass). The windows are made of thick tiles of glass about 25mm thick, which have their surfaces chipped so that light coming through them could shine brightly. They are then laid out in the desired pattern and set into resin.
The stained glass is amazing - well worth a visit if you are ever in the area!
