Listen while you work!

Hello everyone,
Hope all is well in your world!

As you can imagine, I spend quite a bit of time snipping in my studio, and there are a variety of things I like to listen to, depending on my mood.  Just thought I'd share them with you.

I guess my default setting for listening is music - this can be anything, but generally classical in the morning and something more up beat in the afternoon to keep my energy going. I have made playlists over the years so have lots to choose from and I am always adding to them.

Everyday I listen to Pray As You Go which is an online daily prayer site - 10 mins of peace. http://www.pray-as-you-go.org/home/

Desert Island Discs archive would be next on my list - I love hearing about people's lives and their music choices. Mentally, I make my list, if I ever had the opportunity! http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/features/desert-island-discs

A friend has just introduced me to TED - an online archive of short talks by experts on all sorts of subjects - the internet can be amazing sometimes, can't it?! http://new.ted.com/#

Then at 10am on Radio 4 is Women's Hour, which I am sometimes in the mood for.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007qlvb

I also listen to talking books. At the moment I am enjoying my daughter's David Walliams' books CDs, with him reading them - fab!

And finally, of course there is SILENCE.....ah!

What do you listen to?

Felicity x

  1. I like to listen to audiobooks while I knit and crochet. I also like the oldies on the radio. I have never heard of the author you mentioned but I will definitely check him out! Thanks!
